Aidplast Perforated Cold Plaster
The medicinal properties of perforated cold plaster are menthol, it is one of the main components of the essential oil obtained from peppermint plants. It is used in the treatment of inflammation, spasm and pain. After topical application of menthol, it stimulates the cold receptors and inhibits the calcium ion currents of the nerve membranes causing a cooling sensation. The analgesic properties of menthol are, in part, mediated by activation of kappa-opioid receptors, thus contributing to the inhibition of pain signal transmission.
